The primary object of the invention is to offer a shielded flat cable which enables discount in space between the conductors, enchancment in shielding ability, and price savings. The present flat cable does not want connection home windows within the prior artwork which make it tough to cut back the area between the conductors. The decrease cowl layer film 4B in the second embodiment does not necessarily prolong full width of the base movie 3. It is adequate for the decrease cover layer movie 4B to extend steady length or discrete lengths in order to electrically insulate the upper floor of the circuit conductors 1. So as to achieve the above object, the invention gives a versatile, shielded flat cable having a basic construction which includes a base movie, a plurality of strips of circuit conductor Juxtaposed on the bottom film, a strip of floor conductor arranged in parallel with the strips of circuit conductor, a cover layer movie attached to the strips of circuit conductor and ground conductor, and a shield tape of a conductive metallic foil, made for example of aluminum, copper or the like, extending over the cowl layer film, the ground conductor being conductively related to the shield tape, whereby the cover layer movie is of a double layered construction comprised of an higher cowl layer movie having an area provided with no higher layer movie therein, and a decrease cowl layer film, and wherein the ground conductor is exposed, via the area provided with no upper layer film, to the shield tape so as to be linked with the shield tape.

According to the first embodiment of the invention, the cowl layer movie is comprised of a decrease cowl layer movie and an upper cover layer movie. In line with the second embodiment of the invention, the lower cowl layer movie is comprised of two layers of cover layer movies solely disposed in areas by which the bottom conductor is electrically connected to the shield tape. This invention pertains to shielded flat cables within the type of a versatile strip together with conductors and movies connected to the conductors in the upper and lower surfaces thereof. A floor conductor is disposed between the lower and higher cover layer movies. Thus, the circuit conductors and the ground conductor could also be electrically insulated relative one another via the lower cover layer movie. A shielded flat cable in keeping with a second embodiment is characterized by a building whereby the decrease cover layer film of a predetermined size is placed over the base movie at a predetermined location thereof in order to electrically insulate the upper floor of the circuit conductors, the circuit conductors being offered within the upper surface of the bottom movie, the ground conductor is disposed on the decrease cowl layer movie, the bottom conductor being arranged in parallel with the circuit conductors, and the upper cowl layer film is placed over the base movie in an space together with the higher surfaces of the ground conductor and the lower cover layer movie so as to kind a cable physique, whereby an space having no higher cowl layer movie is offered which extends along the intermediate portion of the lower cowl layer film and transversely of the cable body, whereby the shield tape is attached to the surface of the cable body together with the world having no upper cowl layer movie in order to shield the cable physique, and whereby the ground conductor and the shield tape is conductively linked with one another via the area having no higher cover layer movie.

The ground conductor and the shield tape may be electrically linked with each other through the realm having no higher cover layer film, with out the usage of connection windows within the prior art.
